After two weeks of talks at ACAS, and on the brink of a strike that would have entirely closed the Jubilee line, management finally agreed to reduce the proportion of weekend working on the new rosters.
The agreement brings Saturday working back to the level on the previous rosters, the key issues in our dispute. It also means a reduction in the proportion of Sundays on the roster.
This is an important step to protect the gains from our dispute in 2015. The determined stand taken by your ASLEF reps meant that we achieved our objectives without the need for our members to take strike action
There will now be further discussions at Trains Council on options to bring permanent reductions, not just on the Jubilee line but right across the combine.
